Capturing Nature: Instruments, Specimens, Art

Mayer Gallery, Chazen Museum of Art.
December 13, 2013-April 13, 2014

This student exhibition by a First-year Interest Group, “Science History Detectives,” examines human interactions with the natural world using objects from three distinctive campus collections. It reveals artists and scientists capturing, imagining, and transforming nature, seeking beauty, preserving life, and the versatile uses of glass for scientific discovery and artistic inspiration. Come see behind-door treasures.
