Smithsonian:
American Enterprise

Scottish merchants, American customers and the world of things

The opening of the new American Enterprise Exhibition at the Smithsonian American History museum was very special.  Who might have imagined http://americanhistory.si.edu/blog/decoding-colonial-ledger that the methods and ideas of a book and the diligent work of University of Wisconsin students could end up in a permanent exhibition at our nation's most important American history museum?.  I was especially thrilled that my student's names were included in the credits of the digital account book.
